Parisian pop-rockers Tahiti 80 parlay their love of ’60s American music into songs so odd and cheekily gleeful they could almost be Mentos jingles. On Puzzle, happy melodies crowd out the singer’s woes (”When the sun shines bright/ You are looking alright/ But you get depressed/ When you see your life’s a mess”); and wonderfully inane lyrics about getting a haircut or being jealous of Ray Davies will crowd out your own.
