Listening to a Sean Paul album is like taking a trip to Narnia. The dancehall king reigns over an alternate reality where time is perpetually frozen in one season, regardless of what's happening in the outside world. [rssbreak] Which is to say that his first album in four years picks up exactly where The Trinity left off: at the centre of the dance floor.

Certain albums make you wonder why you ever liked music in the first place. Sean Paul’s Imperial Blaze is music to listen to while curled up in the fetal position, shaking and trembling in horror. Paul’s gibberish spewing flow is the only connection between songs on this enormous, 75-minute album that goes on for about 40 minutes too long, if it had to exist in the first place.
