Album Review: Split The Difference by Gomez

"We don't want to harm ya," the collective voices of Gomez sing. It's a reassurance they're wise to make after the experimental blitzkrieg of 2002's In Our Gun. Now, perhaps sensing a sound-effect too far, their multi-layered sound has been abandoned in favour of traditional guitars, bass and drums. It's a good move, recalling the homemade allure of debut Bring It On, but with added, studio-fixated, finesse.
