Album Review: Synthesizer by A Place to Bury Strangers

Exceptionally Good, Based on 1 Critic

Under The Radar - 85
Based on rating 8.5/10

As a band constantly in transition and seeking to explore then push new boundaries, it shouldn't come as any surprise that Synthesizer does exactly that and more. As the seventh long player from A Place to Bury Strangers and second to feature the current line-up of founder member Oliver Ackermann alongside John and Sandra Fedowitz (also of Ceremony East Coast), Synthesizer drags their sonic palette kicking and screaming into territories both old and new. Fusing elements of noise rock, electronic dark wave, and even goth-tinged post punk, A Place to Bury Strangers have created a record that covers all bases.
